U4H Domain Registrar

.com (commercial):

Established in January 1985, this generic top-level domain (gTLD) is one of the original TLD’s.  .Com’s officially designate commercial entities, and there has been no restriction as to who can registrar a .com since the mid 1990’s. Many noncommercial sites, such as those of nonprofit organizations and governments use .com addresses, and this should be considered to be contrary to the original purpose and intent of a dot com.  .Org, and .gov TLD’s exist, and are more appropriate/qualifiers. In the scope of a Global Web Presence, .com’s suit case-specific callings for commercial purposes, company shape, information, and hubs.

.tv (Tuvalu):

The only globally recognized country code top-level domain having dual meaning representing the island nation of Tuvalu, and TV (television). Introduced in 1996, .tv was marketed from its conception for use in television-related industries, and with no restrictions it can be registered/used for any purpose. Much of the income generated by the sale of this domain name goes to the government and people of Tuvalu. “TV,” next to “OK” is one of the most recognized abbreviations in the world. Unity 4 Humanity, Inc. is the first to change the web extension from “http://www” to “http://Channel”® for all .tv TLD’s in its Global Web Presence in an effort to maintain/create a standardization of this TLD.  .Tv’s are known as Internet Television Broadcasting Channels.  In the scope of a Global Web Presence they entertain, inform, and create an interactive experience with media-rich content.

.net (network):

One of the original TLD’s created in January 1985, it is intended for use by network oriented entities such as Internet service providers. There are no formal restrictions on who can register a .net, but it is still popular with network operators. It is more often than not incorrectly treated as the second .com. To date .net’s are increasing being used for networking like environments such as blogs and forums, staying true to the original conception. When structuring a Global Web Presence, .net’s are used on a case-specific basis for online community building (such as forums and blogs), business building (surveys and feedback), and sometimes customer service communications.

.org (organization):

Another one of the original TLD’s established in January 1985. Originally intended for use only by organizations that did not meet necessary requirements for other gTLD’s, .org has been operated since January 1, 2004 by the Public Interest Registry (a not-for-profit corporation/division of Afilias Limited managing the technical operations of the .org registry). Currently anyone can register a .org domain, but the public expects to see non-for profit/philanthropic organizations utilizing this TLD, and any other usage cheapens/lessens its credibility. Global Web Presence recommends that if corporations wish to use a .org as part of its web presence that they promote the philanthropic and charitable efforts of the corporation and provide information and links in support of non-profit affiliations; or they utilize “organization” in the truest sense of the word and discuss their company (ex. Provide investor resources and tools).

.info (information):

A gTLD intended for informative websites explicitly created for unrestricted use. “Info” means “information” in over 35 languages around the world, and is universally recognized to a large extent. Its use is not restricted. In 2000 ICANN (Internet Corporation For Assigned Names and Numbers) released seven new gTLD’s.  .Iinfo (officially released in 2001) has been the most successful of the seven new domains, and over 3 million domain names have been registered up to mid-2006. As an unrestricted domain, anyone can use .info for any purpose, similar to .com, .net, or .org domains. To date corporations are using .info’s as informative advertising campaigns registering them for short durations/utilizing them for case specific purposes. These advertising campaigns host, or utilize domains as forwarding address to a URL extension off of a home page. In the scope of a Global Web Presence, .info’s should be utilized to showcase current/new information, as well as for advertising campaigns.
