The Language Of Domain Names® (Part I)

The Language Of Domain Names® is a theory interpreted, created, and developed by Anthony Galima. “The Language Of Domain Names” is implemented by Unity 4 Humanity, Inc. throughout their Global Web Presence®; and aspects of this theory are “trade secrets” utilized in some of U4H, Inc.’s core consulting Global Web Presence structure and design services.

TheLanguageOfDomainNames.com will become an on-line manifestation and journey of this complex theory understood best through experience. With a variety of hosted globally recognized domains joined through content (text, interactive, video) and the utilization of domain properties, Unity 4 Humanity, Inc. will share information and knowledge articulating this theory. U4H, Inc. provides no gimmick solutions, and the implementation of The Language Of Domain Names once completely understood is achievable by any individual/corporation on their own accord.

The Language Of Domain Names has been unconsciously unfolding and developing for some time through tangible concepts manifested by individuals/corporations, and a small percentage of advertising and marketing campaigns. Mainly, the bureaucracies that exist amongst search engines, coupled with the saturation of the URL/domain market, the way the youth is utilizing the World Wide Web, dropping technology costs/increased user friendliness, and the merging of TV and the Internet has caused web addresses/domain names to take on different forms and functions. A few factors play integral roles in the efficiency and overall success of this “language,” and its ability to reach out to open markets.

In order to understand “The Language Of Domain Names,” first one must understand the World Wide Web. What was it intended to be used for? How was it intended to function? How is it structured? How is it utilized by developers, corporations, and consumers? What are globally recognized domains? What is a true Global Web Presence? How can and are technology, language, and information coming together? Much of this information is available throughout Unity 4 Humanity, Inc.’s Global Web Presence. If you would like to know more about “language,” Unity 4 Humanity, Inc. recommends “The Evolution And Digression Of Words,” by Vincenzo Scipioni located at: (http://www.theevolutionanddigressionofwords.com), or selected works of Jean-Jacques Rousseau (1712-1778) and Johann Gottfried Herder (1744-1803).

Diving into The Language Of Domain Names, its evolution is taking the World Wide Web to the Internet. The web is something with holes in it, and the Internet will be a fluid reciprocal, free flowing exchange interrelating all points(globally recognized TLD’s), forms of information, ideas, knowledge, and entertainment. The traditional way corporations have been utilizing domains and building their “web pages” is slowly unconsciously/consciously evolving. “The Language Of Domain Names” does and will work efficiently because corporations have a need to develop Global Web Presences utilizing “globally recognized” TLD’s (limited to .com, .tv, .net, .info, .org, and in some cases .cn). These TLD’s must be created and used for specific and intended purposes (i.e. the information one would expect to find on a .com, is not the same as a .net, or .tv).

Provided globally recognized domains are carefully created, utilized for a specific and intended purpose, implemented in a fashion that is Search Engine Optimized (SEO), and properly maintained and built upon, the web will become more “semantic.” Search engines will seem to be “reading and comprehending” rather than “searching.” Individuals today and the vast majority of youth do not “search” in “search engines;” they get on the web, and start punching right into the address line of their web browser. http://www.Whatever.tld is quickly highlighted and replaced with new text. It is not necessary to ever punch in http://www, and in most cases it isn’t necessary to punch in a specific TLD.

If a site exists, and it is not SEO, or recognized by any search engine whatsoever, or being used strictly as a forwarding agent; and an individual types TheSiteName.tld, that individual will be brought to that particular site, or wherever that site was instructed to forward a person. (http://www is not necessary). If a site exists, is somewhat SEO, and recognized by a major search engine; and an individual only types TheSiteName, that individual will be brought to that particular site.

What if TheSiteName.com, and TheSiteName.tv exist? An individual will most likely be brought to the .com for a number of reasons; mainly .com’s are more SEO and contain information that search engines crawlers/spiders can read and decipher. .tv channels on the other hand are just beginning to become developed, and even once fully developed Internet Broadcasting Channels contain “video.” (This is one reason it is important to “anchor” and inter-relate domain properties creating a Global Web Presence.) One form of information search engines cannot read/understand is video; and the “tricks” web designers/programmers use hiding descriptive code amongst this video content making it “readable” is understood and frowned upon by web crawlers. This is because there is no way for the web crawler to know if the “hidden descriptive code” is an accurate depiction of the video. (i.e. Code can “tell” the web crawler the video is a “cat climbing,” and in actuality the video is a “jet flying.”)
